Meet Carolyn
Leadership Rooted in Service
For more than three decades, Carolyn White has dedicated her career to serving the people of Lorain County. Her experience spans public office, financial services, community leadership and civic engagement, providing a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing local government.
As the first African-American woman elected to serve two terms on Lorain City Council, a 12-year Sheffield Village Council member, former President Pro Tempore, former Interim Mayor and longtime Chair of the Finance Committee, Carolyn has earned a reputation for thoughtful leadership, collaboration and fiscal responsibility.
She believes leadership is built through service, integrity and accountability. Those values continue to guide her commitment to strengthening Lorain County and ensuring county government works for every resident.
